Edward Cabrera couldn't have a better start in his first appearance of the season as the Miami Marlins lose 4-3 against the San Francisco Giants.
Cabrera was one of the missing pieces of the starting pitching rotation, and showed why the Marlins were excited to have him back. The 26 year old righty was stellar for the Fish throwing 10 strikeouts in six innings, and allowing only one run Monday night. The team was cruising till the seventh-inning.
Reliever George Soriano came in the seventh-inning, and gave up all the runs the Giants would need to finish the game. This lose marks the sixth times this season the Marlins allowed it's opponent to come from behind for the win.
Luis Arraez, Bryan De La Cruz and Avisail Garcia led the way the offense. Arraez collected three hits, De La Cruz batted in two RBI and Garcia hit his second homerun of the season.
The series continues Tuesday night. First pitch is set for 6:40 p.m., with pregame coverage beginning at 6:10 p.m. on Fox Sports 940am, or listen locally on the iHeartRadio App.
