Former Marlins manager Jim Leyland will soon be inducted into the National Baseball Hall of Fame.
He says entering the 1997 season, he knew the Fish had a chance to win the World Series but that it would be difficult.
The Marlins win over Cleveland is the only World Series he captured during his career, but Leyland also managed the Tigers to the AL pennant in 2006 and 2012.
Leyland will be enshrined with the rest of the 2024 class July 21st in Cooperstown, New York.
