Two dead including a homeowner after Tesla plows through Palm Harbor home

PALM HARBOR, FL — The Florida Highway Patrol is reporting that two people died Friday night, after a 2021 Tesla Plaid Sedan ran a stop sign and crashed into a home at 1498 Caird Way in Palm Harbor, located in Pinellas County. Authorities say the vehicle was speeding down Manning Road when the driver failed to stop at the intersection of Hermosa Drive, causing the Tesla to hit an embankment and become airborne before crashing into the exterior rear walls of the home, striking one of three adult occupants of the home and killing a 69 year old woman. One of the three passengers in the vehicle, a 43-year-old Odessa man also died. The other two passengers and the driver of the Tesla also suffered serious injuries.

The 2021 Tesla Plain Sedan is reported to do 0-60 in just 1.99 seconds.
