Closing Arguments To Begin In First-Degree Murder Trial Of Dayonte Resiles

Closing arguments being heard this morning in the first-degree murder trial of Dayonte Resiles who's charged in the 2014 stabbing death of a woman in her Davie home. The defense only calling one witness in an attempt to discredit that his DNA was found in the home he was trying to burglarize. Resiles made national headlines when he escaped from a courtroom during a hearing in 2016, remaining on the run for a week. The jury is expected to be sequestered during deliberations. He faces life in prison and the possibility of the death penalty if convicted.
