New rules for club owners in Miami Beach. City Commissioners voting 6-to-1 to pass an ordinance requiring club owners to email police four days ahead of a promoted event with live music, with the number of tickets sold and the security plan. Police Chief Richard Clements says this is all in an effort to crackdown on crime and violence. Club owners who do not notify police in advance will face fines. First violation is 1-thousand-dollars, second is 25-hundred, third is 5-thousand and a fourth violation could result in a club's license being revoked.
