Apple Inc. has temporarily closed its retail store in Brickell due to a rise in COVID-19 cases and exposures among employees.
Apple's website lists the store inside Brickell City Centre as closed on Wednesday, December 15th and Thursday, December 16th.
According to their website, Apple’s retail locations in Dadeland, Lincoln Road and Fort Lauderdale will remain open.
The Brickell City Center location was among three Apple retail stores closed on Wednesday; the other two locations closed are Apple’s retail stores in Annapolis, Maryland and Ottowa, Canada.
Apple announced all employees will take Covid-19 tests prior to the stores reopening and that it’s staying in touch with the affected workers.
Apple said in a statement “we regularly monitor conditions and will adjust our health measures to support the well-being of customers and employees. We remain committed to a comprehensive approach for our teams that combines regular testing with daily health checks, employee and customer masking, deep cleaning and paid sick leave.”
