An 8-year-old boy survived a freighting fall from a seventh floor window in North Miami on Saturday.
North Miami Police and Miami-Dade Fire Rescue responded to an apartment building on Northeast 123rd Street and 14th Avenue around 10 a.m. on Saturday after the boy fell from the window.
The boy survived the fall and was taken by first responders to Ryder Trauma Center, where he was checked for bone fractures.
Authorities say the boy suffered injuries, but his prognosis was good.
Itâs not clear if his parents were with the boy at the time of the fall.
Jeffrey Rivers told NBC Miami "it's a tragedy. It's a tragedy when this happens."
