The U.S. Coast Guard has suspended its active search for survivors from a capsized boat that knocked 40 suspected migrants into the water off the coast of Fort Pierce.
It's believed to have been a human smuggling operation.
Coast Guard Captain Jo-Ann Burdian gave a grim update on Thursday.
"We have found four deceased bodies in the last 24 hours, bringing the total to 5 deceased bodies we've recovered."
That leaves 34 people missing.
One survivor was found clinging to the 25-foot boat that flipped over in rough weather on Saturday.
He was taken to the hospital to be treated for dehydration and sun exposure.
