House Democrats Speak Out Against Anti-Gay Bills Ahead Of Full Floor Vote

Just before the full House takes up "Don't Say Gay" and House Bill 7, House Democrats are begging Republicans to stop movement on both bills. Democrats accuse Republicans of playing politics with people's lives when it comes to these two bills. Agriculture Commissioner Nikki Fried says they're hateful, discriminatory and unconstitutional. The bills would restrict discussions of sexual orientation and gender indentity in schools. They would also limit the ability of teachers to be a confidential resource for students who may not feel safe or comfortable asking questions about these topics to relatives.
