Dog poop helps cops bust South Florida robbery suspect

A South Florida robbery suspect was busted by police after robbing a woman who was walking her dog and being found with the dog’s poop on his shirt.

A woman walking her dog in Miami’s Edgewater neighborhood on Monday was picking up her dog’s poop when a robber armed with a knife approached her from behind, pushed her against a wall, and squeezed her neck.

According to police, as the thief attempted to remove the woman’s watch and bracelets, a witness started screaming from the balcony of a nearby condo complex.

The robber told the witness to "shut up" before stealing the victim’s book bag and running off.

An hour after the robbery, an officer located a suspect who fit the description of the armed robber.

Police arrested 62-year-old William Carroll who, in addiction to possessing the victim’s belongings and a knife, had a dog poop stain on his shirt.

The victim and witness from the balcony identified Carroll as the suspect.

Carroll was booked into the Turner Guilford Knight Correctional Center on charges of armed robbery and battery.
