The Tampa Bay Lightning beat the Florida Panthers 6-3 on Saturday evening at Amalie Arena. Coming into this game trailing 3-0, the Lightning avoided being swept and forced a game five on Monday night in Sunrise.
Tampa Bay built a 3-0 lead in the first thanks to goals from Steven Stamkos, Brandon Hagel and Brayden Point. The Panthers pushed back in the second period, outscoring Tampa Bay 3-1 to pull within 4-3.
In the third period Tampa Bay was able to pull away thanks to goals from Steven Stamkos and Nicholas Paul to make it a 6-3 final. Sergei Bobrovsky went 26-of-32 in net for Florida, while Andrei Vasilevskiy went 22-of-25 in net for Tampa Bay.
The series now shifts to Sunrise for another must-win game for Tampa Bay on Monday. Puck drop in Game 5 between the Lightning and Panthers is scheduled for 7:00 PM.
