Tropical Depression Fourteen has strengthened into Tropical Storm Milton in the southwestern Gulf of Mexico, with maximum winds of 40 mph. It's expected to strengthen into a hurricane by Monday, possibly becoming a major hurricane. The system is moving slowly northeast and is forecast to approach Florida's west coast by midweek. Heavy rainfall and life-threatening surf conditions are expected for parts of Florida's West Coast next week.
