Lightning Fall To Canadiens On Second Night of Back-to-Back

The Montreal Canadiens (16-17-3) defeated the Tampa Bay Lightning (20-12-2) 5-2 on Sunday evening at Amalie Arena.

Jake Evans scored in his fifth straight game for Montreal. The Lightning got goals from Brandon Hagel and Nikita Kucherov, both in the second period.

The Lightning are now off through New Years, and will begin 2025 on a California trip. They return to the ice in San Jose on Thursday - puck drop between the Lightning and Sharks is scheduled for 10:30 PM in San Jose on Thursday January 2nd.
