Former football great Antonio Brown is getting somewhat of a pass from a Miami-Dade County judge.
Already surrendering his passport, she'll let the wide receiver work, as long as he wears an ankle monitor as he faces an attempted second-degree murder charge for allegedly shooting at someone outside a boxing match in Miami back in May.
"He is on video attacking the victim, and chasing him down and shooting at him," says the prosecutor.
Brown's defense attorney, Mark Eiglarsh, claims self-defense from someone who was previously accused of robbing Brown: "My client shot twice, not at him, but shot twice, so that he could continue on to get to his vehicle."
Prosecutors admit the alleged victim only suffered a minor injury in a fight before the shooting incident.
While the judge feels aggravated assault with a deadly weapon and battery might be more appropriate charges, she is leaving that for another judge.
Brown's bond was set at $25,000.
He was extradited from Dubai, where he had spent about five months.
Prosecutors argue he was trying to avoid arrest, but Brown's attorney says he has had business there since 2022 and always intended to face the charges.
