Today on 2 Pros and a Cup of Joe, Jonas Knox and LaVar Arrington explain how Old School and New School are on display in the Tournament as Kansas State's Markquis Nowell set a Tourney record for assists in the OT win over Michigan State, while Julian Strawther's 3-pointer from the half-court logo lifted Gonzaga past UCLA.

Jonas Knox: "Markquis Nowell's 19 assists was absolutely fantastic. It was an old school, bit of a throwback to how basketball used to be where the point guard controlled the game by passing the ball and facilitating the basketball. That was a throwback performance for the entire sport of basketball and then all of a sudden you got to Gonzaga and UCLA bringing us into the new era of basketball...
You had [Julian Strawther] from Gonzaga, down by two with seven seconds left, pull up from over 26 feet and attempt a three when all they needed was a basket. You could have gone to Drew Timme who was almost unstoppable the entire game. All you needed was a basket, something under the rim and in a game like that to advance to the Elite Eight with everything on the line, he pulls up from 26-27 feet and nails a three. We made the point that Steph Curry has changed the game. 10 years ago, that right there would not have happened and it's happening now because of Steph Curry."
