Noble Meyer Is Lone Marlins Player On MLB's Top 100 Prospect Rankings

MLB.com recently released The Top 100 Prospects for the 2024 season.

With their depleted farm system the Marlins only have one representative on the list with RHP Noble Meyer at #57.

After winning the state championship, Noble Meyer was drafted out of Jesuit in Portland, Oregon as the Marlins 1st round pick in 2023. He saw some action after the draft in the Marlins Class-A affiliate the Jupiter Hammerheads striking out 15 over 11 innings pitched.

Meyer, 19, possesses a strong fastball that reaches up to 100mph, which scouts grade at 60. His best pitch is his slider also graded at 60 followed by a 50 rated changeup.

The former Gatorade's Oregon player of the year is is slated by scouts at 55 overall for 2024. Meyer is expected to make the club by the 2026 season.

Meyer's upside is promising for the future but the lack of other names on the Top 100 list is what Peter Bendix, Rachel Balkovec, and Gabe Kapler are making their #1 priority to change for the organization.

Through smart drafting and great player development that marlins hope to have plenty of names littered on these list for the foreseeable future of the club.
