Since she was appointed President and CEO of The Miami Foundation in 2020, Rebecca Fishman Lipsey has transformed the organization into a powerhouse of community impact. Under her leadership, the Foundation has grown by 50%, with a strong emphasis on equity in every grant program and initiative. Rebecca’s vision of collective impact has brought together diverse groups to address critical community issues, from bridging the digital divide to creating a disaster resilience fund.
Rebecca’s impressive career includes being the youngest appointee to the Florida Board of Education, founding the social impact incubator Radical Partners, and earning numerous accolades such as South Florida Business Journal’s “Ultimate CEOs of the Year” and The International Stevie Award for Women in Business’ “Best Non-Profit Executive.” Her educational background includes a master’s from Bank Street College of Education and graduating as valedictorian from the University of Pennsylvania.
The Miami Foundation, established in 1967, has invested over $650 million to strengthen the Miami community. With more than 1,000 fundholders and 50,000 donors, the Foundation fosters leadership, generosity, and a sense of belonging, inspiring people to become changemakers. Under Rebecca’s guidance, the Foundation continues to create collaborative solutions for a thriving Greater Miami.
When not leading the Foundation, Rebecca enjoys playing the piano, walking with her husband, and spending time with her two young boys. Her dedication to building a stronger Miami is evident in every aspect of her work and life.
