Florida Rallies To Survive Samford

The Florida Gators (5-5) defeated the Samford Bulldogs (4-6) 70-52 on Saturday afternoon in Gainesville.

Samford built a 42-28 lead in the first half and went into halftime leading 42-35. The 42 points was the most the Gators have ever allowed in any half ever, and the Gators would finish the game allowing a season high 530 yards to the Samford offense.

Emory Jones had 550 yards of total offense at quarterback for the Gators. He went 28-for-34 with 464 yards passing and six touchdowns, while rushing for another 86 yards and a touchdown on the ground.

The Gators return to action on November 20th when they go on the road to Missouri - kickoff is scheduled for 4:00 PM.
