Gators Fall To #20 Kentucky

The 12th ranked Florida Gators (1-1, 0-1 SEC) fell to the 20th ranked Kentucky Wildcats (2-0, 1-0 SEC) 26-16 on Saturday night in Gainesville.

The Gators took a 16-7 lead late in the first half, but Kentucky scored with 1:25 to go in the second quarter to pull within 13-16. The second half was all Kentucky, as they took advantage of Gators mistakes and outscored Florida 13-0 en route to the victory.

Florida quarterback Anthony Richardson went 14-of-35 with 143 yards passing, no touchdowns and two costly interceptions in the loss.

The Gators next return to action when they host the University of South Florida Bulls in Gainesville on Saturday. Kickoff from the Swamp between Florida and USF is scheduled for 7:30 PM on September 17th.
