Gators Become Bowl Eligible With Rout of South Carolina

The Florida Gators (6-4, 3-4) defeated South Carolina (6-4, 3-4) 38-6 on Saturday evening in Gainesville. The win is the sixth of the season for Florida, making them bowl eligible.

The Gators built a 24-0 first half lead before continuing that dominance with two more touchdowns in the second half. Anthony Richardson went 11-for-23 with 112 yards and two touchdowns passing, and ran for another 96 yards and a touchdown on the ground.

Two Gators ran for more than a hundred yards - Montrell Johnson Jr.ran for 161 yards and a touchdown, while Trevor Etienne ran for 100 yards and a touchdown.

The Gators now head to Nashville to play Vanderbilt next Saturday. Kickoff between Florida and Vanderbilt is scheduled for 12:00 PM on November 19th.
