Browns Still Favored Despite Baker Mayfield's Injury

RJ Bell: "The Browns went from -6 to -1.5 (after the announcement of Baker Mayfield's injury). And you may think 'if Baker is an elite quarterback, then why is it only moving that modest amount?' For one, it was known that he was banged up. Also, Case Keenum is an elite backup. In 2017, he had the second-highest QBR in the NFL. Lastly, Baker Mayfield has underperformed expectations. You could almost make the case that this is a big move, that it's a lot of respect for Baker Mayfield given the givens."

RJ Bell and AJ Hoffman preview Thursday Night Football between the Browns and Broncos. The guys discuss the line adjustment in response to Baker Mayfield being ruled out due to injury and explain why the Browns are still favored despite being without both their starting RBs and their QB.
