Watch here! A Florida man casually offered deputies a vodka spritzer in the middle of a car chase after he allegedly stole several items from a convenience store.

Offering someone a drink is a friendly thing to do, just not while you're driving and not when the other person is a cop that's chasing you. A Florida man named Richard Christopher Smith was arrested after offering deputies a hard seltzer during a miles-long car chase. The pursuit began when deputies responded to a report of theft at a convenience store. Smith was seen circling the store in a black minivan before speeding off. At one point during the chase, Smith held a Ketel One vodka spritz out of his window and told deputies, "I was just going to give you a drink, that’s it." The chase came to a head in an airport parking lot where Smith tried to ram his van into two patrol cars. Officers had to deploy spike strips to stop him. As Smith slowly exited his vehicle, he was calmly smoking a cigarette and asked deputies, "You guys had fun, though, right?" Deputies were not amused, and they arrested him on charges of aggravated assault on a law enforcement officer, resisting arrest, DUI, and petty theft.
