Rob Parker Blasts Tom Brady For Teasing a Potential Return to the NFL

Tom Brady on if he would consider returning to the NFL if a contending team going to the playoffs lost a starter and needed an emergency quarterback: “I’m not opposed to it. I don’t know if they’re going to let me if I become an owner of an NFL team, but I don’t know, I’m always going to be in good shape, always be able to throw the ball. To come in for a little bit like MJ coming back? I don’t know if they would let me but I wouldn’t be opposed to it.”

Rob Parker: “He is mashugana, he is so crazy, and so pathetic. Yeah, I’m calling him pathetic. He’s close to 50 years old talking about still coming back and playing, and jumping in on some team that has a chance, and ‘I can still throw the ball well’ and all that... He’s about to embark on a TV career making $37.5 million a year, his family broke up, and I’m not saying it was all over football – obviously there was other issues there too – and he can’t let it go.
I feel bad for people who can’t let it go in life. At some point it’s okay to look at your accomplishments, feel good about them, and move on. I know Tom Brady doesn’t think about it like this, and a lot of people don’t, but the longer you hang around, you stop other people from allowing those guys to have their dreams and their opportunities. Guys stick around too long and I just think that that’s the shame of it. That he hasn’t been fulfilled, and needs to have his neck broken, or needs to have his leg snapped in two, or he needs to play awful, and you have to rip the uniform off him to be done. To me, it’s absolutely pathetic and nonsensical.
TOM BRADY, GO HOME! GO SPEND TIME WITH YOUR KIDS! THIS IS RIDICULOUS. 46 YEARS OLD PLAYING FOOTBALL?? IT’S BEING SELF-CENTERED AND IT’S THE WORLD BEING ABOUT YOU. HE NEEDS THE SPOTLIGHT TO FEEL GOOD ABOUT HIMSELF! He’s got some deficiencies in life that he’s not satisfied unless he’s the center of attention. That’s what this is about, it’s not about football. There’s people who have a sickness about being the center of attention and they can’t let it go."

Watch Rob Parker of Fox Sports Radio’s The Odd Couple call out Tom Brady for recently teasing a possible return to the NFL, as Parker ripped Brady for once again triggering an enormous media cycle of suspicion and hype around a potential Michael Jordan-esque comeback.

Check out the segment above as Parker calls Brady ‘self-centered’ and ‘pathetic’ for the comments, saying that Brady has a ‘sickness’ of always wanting to be the center of attention, and adding that it’s not about football, but rather Brady's need for the spotlight.
