Bean Town Back in the Big Dance

The World Series match up is halfway set with a familiar club in the Fall Classic. The Red Sox made it back to the World series for the 4th time in 14 years.

This hasn't always been the case for Boston fans. They used to be the lovable losers, the underdog, stifled by a curse, and cheered by the rest of America for taking down the "Evil Empire"  After Winning 108 games and having the largest payroll in the sport, they can no longer be viewed as an underdog. Talents like Mookie Betts, Jackie Bradley Jr., and J.D. Martinez have all but erased their history of being losers.

This doesn't have the same feeling as the 2004 season when they faced the Cardinals. whether its due to the Curse of the Bambino being broken or their 3 world series wins since then they have become another sports powerhouse.

MLB needed this with their viewership dipping as sports fan have lost interest in America's Pastime. We might not have the same feelings as we did in 2004 but this will have to do.

If the Dodgers advance as well then MLB will have the best case scenario when it comes to casual interest. Two Major brands in MLB going Head-Head might give Baseball the adrenaline shot it so badly needs.

Now all we'll need is a Game 7
