Veteran sport talk show host, Carl ‘The Foss’ Foster, host and creator of The Morning Bullpen launched right here on 940am over a decade ago with co-host, Anita Marks, the first female sports talk co-host in South Florida, are teaming up again to return to the South Florida airwaves October 1, 2018, with their entertaining, informative, opinionated and insightful sports chatter.

This time you can catch a ride, interact and laugh with The Foss and Sports Chick in afternoon drive time LIVE 2-4pm Monday through Fridays on 940WINZ, Miami Sports and worldwide simulcast on the IHeartMedia App and website.

About the Hosts….

Carl “The Foss” Foster

A 7-year decorated USAF Vietnam veteran, was trained as a broadcast journalist for the American Forces Radio and Televsion (AFRTS) attending DINFOS training at Ft. Benjamin Harrison, Indiana, back in the mid-70s. (A career featured by Robin Williams in movie “Good Morning Vietnam”)

“THE MORNING BULLPEN” Radio Show ( 2000-2006 )

Founder/Host/Producer of the daily morning drive sportstalk/entertainment show from 6am-10am that aired on 940FoxSports (Clear Channel); 1400 The Fan and 1400 ESPN Radio. Carl also served as General Manager and COO of 1400 ESPN Radio serving as program director and on air talent of the 24/7 sports talk format.

Host/Executive Producer of “Good Sports Magazine Show” (Created and Owned) On Air Host/ Daily “Good Sports Minute” in Morning & Afternoon Drive 2008- 2014 airing on WFTL 850am in South Florida and WAFG, 90.3FM in Miami/Ft. Lauderdale.

“TALK SPORTS WITH PETE ROSE” –Radio-- (1996-1999)

Executive Producer/ Co-Host—Handled all guest bookings for nationally syndicated show as well as on air co-host with Pete Rose live from Ballpark Café in Boca Raton, FL. Traveled and coordinated live remotes at Disney/MGM/Universal as well as national sports card shows. Helped develop and install radio studio for opening of restaurant.

TEN-TV Sports Network/Cleveland Cavaliers-(1980-1983)- Executive Producer/Co-Founder/Anchor of first regional sports network in Ohio setting up programming. Anchored TENTV daily sports exchange. Also, functioned as Director of Broadcasting for the Cleveland Cavaliers under ownership of Ted Stepien

USTA NATIONAL TENNIS CHAMPIONSHIPS (TV Specials)

2005-2018—Host/Producer/ for three special tv shows annually airing on:The Tennis Channel (Worldwide distribution) Fox Sports/ Sun Sports (Florida), Comcast Sports Southeast (CSS) covering top tennis juniors in the world. Carl is still the Official VOICE of the Delray Beach Open ATP Tour event for past 25 years every February in Delray Beach.

Anita Marks

One of America’s few female reporters who had a successful sports career before switching over to sports journalism. Before launching a career in journalism, Anita was a member of a professional football team. While at the university, she was also part of her school’s football team. Her football career, which got into full swing in 2000, saw her play in collegiate flag football and other championships. Marks announced her retirement from the world of women’s football in 2004 after a successful four-year career.

She began pursuing opportunities in broadcasting immediately after she retired from women’s football. Her first job was as the morning co-host with Carl ‘The Foss’ Foster and The Morning Bullpen airing on 940FoxSports and 1400ESPN Radio. After several years in Miami, she moved to Baltimore-based sports radio station – The Fan – where she worked as the host of sports talk for fifteen years covering the Baltimore Ravens and hosting fantasy sports shows.

Over the course of Anita’s journalism career, she has hosted and co-hosted many shows and programs in mega global cable and satellite sports television channels. She is notable for her role in the following TV channels; MASN (host of Fantasy Blitz), MSG Network, My9, WWOR-TV, WFAN Sports Radio (New York), SiriusXM, NBC Sports Radio, Bloomberg Sports (fantasy football analyst) and several others. She has been with 98.7 FM ESPN in New York since 2015 as a weekend sportstalk host.
